We are being visited by the Oblast Akim, the equivalent of the governor - or "governator" as is commonly thought the actual office is called by people here. Anyway we decided to build a cafe, which i originally understood was just going to entail putting some fabric on the walls, until i was handed a sledge hammer and elegantly explained that the wall for which we will attach the fabric will be a new wall, to be constructed after i demolish the existing one. We then used the fallen bricks to rebuild another wall, and a bar, and old tiles to retile the floor. This reusing of materials was a novel idea to me, as you can tell by the picture i was pretty pumped to be destroying a wall on the second floor and having the option to throw all debris out a second story window....which i then later had to go down and bring back up what actually wasnt debris....after all we are in the middle of the "Amerikanski Kreesees"
