Snake Boards everywhere
Word to all my Enbek heads. Pre Service Training for all the new volunteers has begun and so far so good. I have 10 fresh faces on my charge as part of the new Youth Development program in PC KZ. They are an excellent group, and i am stoked to be working with them. We are living in Enbek (an even smaller village than my former home...only 300 families) for 10 weeks of language and technical training. Its a pretty sweet gig, and a very sort of culminating way to reflect back upon when i first came and went through all the things i get to see and help the new volunteers go through now (dealing with stomach problems and and a double ended catharsis in squat toilets is much more amusing on this end). Notes about the new village: all the boys have snakeboards (which the US totally dropped the ball on like 15 years ago and never caught on) and PC is putting me up in a dope house with another trainer and we have a huge jacuzzi shower - the only downside is that the village rarely has water or electricity....but when it does livin is easy.

Dude, is one of those guys named Patrick Rawsthorne? If so, I know the guy and tell him that Sam T. just moved into my house in Seattle.
